I thought the argument was attempting to suggest that America is violating the Geneva Convention in their treatment of prisoners, not "gee, what do you think torture is Lightdemon?"
The FACT remains and has been clearly shown here that we do NOT inhumanely torture our prisoners; deprivation and mental stress while monitoring the subjects for their health is hardly what I would call a violation of the convention or extreme by any stretch of the imagination.
These people may have information that can save lives. Coddling extremists is hardly a method that would obtain results. I know you live in a fantasy world where people do not mean to maim and murder others by flying aircraft into high rise buildings, but many of us, particularly this administration, are aware of it, understand the danger and are desirous to never have something like that happen again. One way is getting/extracting information from the murderous thugs being held at Gitmo.
Carry on. | Source (The Green Light [on torture]) |
