I'm scared of the ocean but its for one reason: there are things that can eat you in the ocean. I surfed in Alaska because there were no real shark threats there. I won't surf here. I am one of those people that sits on the beach and watches for a fin in the water. It's irrational, I know. But it's just how it is.

I applaud your efforts to overcome your fears. Let me know how fun it is!!!
