The US can just cancel the treaty with Japan, from WWII, that makes the US responsible for providing oil to Japan. Then the Japanese can re-arm, full strength, and take over the Middle East.

The US can just stop being a world power, and let the others fight it out among themselves. Isn't that what Obama is saying? Isn't that what Obama's supporters want? The US should stop trying to push other peoples around, and let them fight it out among themselves.

The Republicans would hate to see the welders make overtime finishing the Persian Pipeline quickly. So the oil and gas pipelines around Iran are not a viable option. Wealthy welders would be unconscionalbe for Republicans.
