Ok then how about the own militarys official stance? They did just release a 700 page memo describing the mistakes in planning and execution of the war after the initial invasion correct? I would call that a failure in planning and execution of the war after the initial invasion. But hey, what do I know, I tend to trust the military when they review themselves...
