If we lived in a democracy I would agree. We do not. We are a "republic". We elect leaders to "represent" us. Those elected officials are losing touch with their base and losing touch with the intent of their position.

The constitution says what we *CAN* do. It does not say what we cannot. The rules that say what we can do are being ignored. The rules that say what a president or congress cannot do are equally being ignored.

The only way to change the rules is to utilize the power of amendments. Unfortunately, the President and many other officials are taking for granted that we are not paying attention.

Some of us are.
