Yes, it is possible that the North Pole could have been ice free. Be it during "recorded history", no, but during the "history of the world" (great movie BTW), absolutely it is possible and likely. Don't be a buffoon and assume that I can't "reason this out..."

I was simply looking at the quote and noticing how funny the two statements were when grouped together. A little levity please...
