As bad as the republicans are right now, the democrats seem to specialize in proposing "solutions" that would make things worse. What should be happening is the the prosecution of texaco, mobil l and chevron for colluding to damage the refinery supply to raise the price of gas. Nationalizing the refineries is not going to solve our problems with the insane price of crude.
