Yeah.. I did the same thing in Yellowstone with the Buffalo. As we were entering, there was sign after sign warning about the Buffalo, how fast they could run, and that they weren't exactly big cuddly cows. They stated repeatedly not to get out of our vehicles if we came across any.
So, we came across some... not but a couple hundred feet from the last warning sign. What did we do? Pulled off the road the road and got out of the car. Now.. I wasn't stupid enough to move far from my car, and I certainly didn't approach the HERD of Buffalo. But yeah, I did get out to take pics despite the warnings. My risk was a calculated one, though! |
i was just kidding. it says the thread is for men.
I lived in Denali Nat'l Park for a couple of years. I once had a close call with a bear, and another with a moose. If I had to choose, I'd rather have a close call with a moose. both were pretty scary, though.
when it comes to guy things, I hate the "jock" thing. but in Alaska it seemed like 90% of the guys I met had big toyota trucks, a beard, and a pack of dogs. and they loved to talk about their dogs. I hated that whole thing about as much as the "jock" thing.
