This one time [at band camp] up in Maine, we drove up to the power lines where we were told that we could see Moose and youngins. (because it was that time of year) This was our first trip to Maine so we HAD to go see the Moosies! We were warned about their size and temperament, but didn't pay them much heed.

Then we got up there. Got out of the car to take pictures. Walked up to get a little closer. Mamma Moose was not pleased with us and charged. I don't think anyone has ever moved as fast as we did getting back in my VW only to realize that my VW was dwarfed by Mamma Moose. Had Mamma Moose wanted to get to us while we were in the car, she easily could have and there wouldn't have been too much we could do about it. Fortunately, she was content with our retreat and went back to her youngin.

That was one ****ing big animal though
