What is that old saying? "Kick the bums out."
And that's why the Democrats look to pick up seven or eight seats in the Senate?

By the way there's an interesting situation in Iowa. Incumbent Tom Harkin isn't going to have any trouble keeping his seat, but the GOP primary was crazy on Tuesday. There were three candidates: New guy Christopher Reed, idiot Steve Rathje (who refused to debate because he can't form a coherent sentence), and the experienced George Eichhorn (clearly the best choice and best chance to win in November).

Reed: 25,159 (35.29%)
Eichhorn: 24,756 (34.71%)
Rathje: Can't find a # but had 30%

And 35% is the nominating threshold too.. pretty crazy.

The GOP is also hapless in my district, take a look at their primary results for the House:

Dr. Miller-Meeks: 7,360
Teahen: 7,251

Needless to say both Teahen and Eichhorn are looking for recounts, although Teahen is being much more of an *** about it.
