Hate to say, "I told you so," but this latest
article from CNN.com supports what I posted above - that the intel was wrong and certain aspects of it were manipulated.
I like how the Republicans try to shift blame on the Democrates and even refuse to take responsibility for their deceptive misinformation tactics.
From the article...
Quote:
The top Republican on the committee dismissed its findings as "partisan gamesmanship."
"It is ironic that the Democrats would knowingly distort and misrepresent the committee's findings and the intelligence in an effort to prove that the administration distorted and mischaracterized the intelligence," said Sen. Christopher Bond of Missouri.
The White House also rejected the report as old news.
"I know this is another report, and I'm sure that they put a lot of considerable thought into it, but this is a subject that has been gone over many many, many times, and I don't know of anything that's particularly new in it," said spokeswoman Dana Perino, who said she had not yet read it.

I want to say since Ms. Perino hasn't read the report she really can't comment on it, but since I haven't read it either...
But I have read this one...
Senate Select Committee on Intellegence report: "
Postwar Finding About Iraq's WMD Programs & Links to Terrorist & How The Compare with Prewar Assessments," dated September 8, 2006
Which basically brought the same truthes to light. Of course, most Americans brushed off the first report the same as they brushed off John McClellan's book. Why then would they pay any attention to this latest report?
