Maybe it's confusing because I'm trying to argue a point I disagree with in order to exploit its flaws, lol. I'll put it simply.

Islam, the way it is written, denigrates promiscuity, right? Some people think that democracy leads to promiscuity. Their reasoning is that America has a promiscuous culture, and America is a democracy (this is obviously the fallacy of confusing correlation and causation). Therefore, these people will fallaciously come to the conclusion that Islam is not compatible with democracy.

I disagree. I think Islam IS compatible with democracy because I know that democracy is NOT A CULTURE. Democracy DOES NOT lead to promiscuity. Therefore, I can see no reason why Muslims could not be democratic.

HOWEVER, like I said, even if they were democratic, nothing is stopping them from electing tyrants. Therefore, I believe there is no American interest in Islamic countries adopting democracy since it will not change their culture. Their culture is what is dangerous and is what needs to be changed.
