That's the problem. Most Americans would like to bury their heads in the sand here and pretend it doesn't matter to them since it's not in their backyard. Except for the some of the Americans posting on this board and others, I'd bet most Americans don't even know what the conflict is about. If I tried to talk about this with some of my girlfriends...... it's almost sad to think about the blank look on their faces. I love them and all, but most of them are not politically or globally aware.
