I'm surprised you think the attack on Iraq was justified. Of course Iraq itself was an invention of British imperialists in 1922. Nothing that followed from that blockheaded mistake can put on the American side of the ledger. So no Saddam was not an
American thing as you put it. Saddam was an Arab leader doing what Arab leaders do. We should have left him alone to do it, in my opinion.
