| Re: Left Coming to Terms with Their Own Bigotry I do not think Obama lost WV due to "Direct Racism".
If you look closely at the full data from the exit polls, a very large number of people believe the anti Obama propaganda.
A much higher number than in other State's polls.
In small rural church groups there are multiple false rumors about Obama that are running wild.
Because WV has a large amount of rural area, it is difficult to punch into these pockets of people without using the same small town networks.
Additionally, McCain, Clinton, and state / local officials have all been taking advantage of a few key misunderstandings of Obama's words taken out of context.
Its not hard to see how they derived at their decision when they hear the rumors from people in their own community that they know and trust, and then they see the out of context words on the media once they look for any confirmation outside of their community friends.
I think the situation is easily explainable without "Racism".
But Racism still does exist in pockets everywhere, and I am sure that more than 1 vote was cast out of Racism.
For the large scale though, no.
Edit: Btw i found out from my GF's mother recently, that Obama is really a secret agent for Hamas.
She just wanted to make sure we knew.
And it has to be true because she heard it from her church group.
