When you could enslave a handfull who volenteer for a short term and have them run the country. Enslave Billions of people to ensure security? Or enslave a handfull of volenteers for a few years. Think about it.

As someone that works in the government.

No, just no. Horribly, positively, no.

The private sector of an equivilent government position almost undoubtably pays more money.

For example, the kind of job I do...my girlfriend got a temp job with a big company, doing a similar type of deal, without finishing her degree yet (i had finished mine) and without needing a secret clearence (i do).

She made around five to six dollars more than me per hour when we took my sallary down to what it would be hourly.

And that's her in a TEMP position.
