Nuclear power is only an answer to our electrical energy needs. Except for charging a few batteries in cars, it does nothing to help with our transportation fuel needs.

The really good thing about nuclear for electricity instead of coal, is that it is green. No emissions. If ALL the costs were analyzed, I suspect that nuclear is cheaper in the long run compared to coal.

But cheaper yet is conservation, and only Obama mentioned that in the debate. Edwards has an irrational fear of nuclear and coal as well. I guess he wants us to freeze in the dark.
