(I was practically paralyzed) While it wasn't violent, it was still very much a rape.
So, when people say "date rape", I don't think of a woman waking up and regretting her previous night's decision. I think of a man not accepting "no", or drugging his date, etc. Date rape simply means that the woman was willingly with the man in a specific situation - that she knew him. But going to a bar with a man doesn't mean you agree to sex, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you.
Also, I consider it rape if the woman is drunk/drugged off her *** and is passed out and the man has sex with her. Or, if she is too drunk/drugged to even engage in sex or forcefully say "no". She may be conscious, but physically unable to really DO anything. It may not be violent, but it's still rape. |
I would consider drugging some one to the point they are incapable of resisting to most certainley be rape.
Drunken situations can be a little different, in that both parties are usually drunk and both have perceptions that might differ. In a situation with my wife, we were both drunk after a wedding and I woke up and wanted some action about 3 in the morning. So I gently touched and stroked her the way I would if I were going to have sex with her, and after a bit her body responded to me in a way that told me we were a go. Shortly thereafter my wife woke up and was like "What the hell are you doing"
